We congratulate the Approach team for reaching their inclusion target this month! This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the great efforts from all participating centers over the last 5 years.
The aim of this study is to demonstrate whether the usual treatment with prophylactic antibiotics is effective in children with recurrent respiratory infections and what its consequences are.
The first patient was enrolled in 2019 and despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the study teams were able to complete the recruitment last month. This means that there are enough patients in the trial to collect the data needed to answer the research questions. The last data are expected to be collected at the end of this year.
We are happy to be supporting the study team towards a successful completion of the trial.
