This forces healthcare providers to use off-label or unauthorized drugs, risking inefficacy and adverse reactions, putting children at greater risk of medication errors than adults.

To protect children from the inappropriate use of medical treatments, we must conduct more well-designed pediatric clinical trials and increase the participation of children in these studies.
